The logo depicts both the distinctive architecture of Bishan’s Housing & Development Board (HDB) flats and the Viewing Tower of Toa Payoh Garden. The blue (Pantone 285C) and green (Pantone 376C) colours represent a fresh, clean and healthy environment within the community.

This was the winning entry of a logo design competition organised by the council. It was unveiled at the official opening of the new Bishan office at Block 197, Bishan Street 13.
