In commemoration of Singapore's 150th anniversary since its founding by the British, the Jurong Consultative Committee organised an exhibition to showcase the area's transformation into the country's first industrial complex.
A pavilion was set up on a four-acre site at the junction of Jurong Road and Boon Lay Road to showcase the products of the constituency's factories and farms, including two real-life crocodiles.
